Lighthouses For Sale

Two Welsh Lighthouses are on the market. Both have been out of Trinity House service since the early 1900s but have been restored in recent years and both are steady revenue earners for their present owners.

West Usk Lighthouse

This lighthouse has been carefully restored by the present owners Frank and Danielle Shehan. It’s a bed and breakfast hotel with a difference; bedrooms and all amenities are contained within the squat circular tower, built in 1821 by James Walker. The owners have recently rebuilt the lantern which now serves as a small bar, serving a locally brewed lighthouse beer. The views across the Severn Estuary are spectacular as is the winding approach lane from the village of St.Brides Wentloog. The nearest city is Newport about eight miles away.
